Medical Weight Loss

The Cycle Ends Here

The onset of Glucagon Like Peptide (GLP 1) Agonists have literally changed the game. Medications like Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are incredibly effective and put the power back in your hands.

  • Require Less Food To Feel Full & Satisfied

  • Feel Full Longer

  • Reduce Hunger Pangs / Cravings

Aren’t we all tired of the struggle? Yo-yo diets and exercise fads in a rinse and repeat fashion are exhausting and often fruitless.

GLP 1 Agonists

Semaglutide

Aka: Wegovy, Ozempic

Tirzepatide*

Aka: Mounjaro, Zepbound

* Adds a second pathway for maximal impact and efficacy. Fewer side effects.

These medications are quite expensive to manufacture. For this reason, as well as for your safety, it is wise to start treatment at the lowest dose and slowly increase until you arrive at your sweet spot. Like most things in life, your sweet spot will be different from others’. Therefore the therapeutic (sweet spot) range is wide and since it is priced by the dose, the cost will vary widely.

Let’s Talk About Pricing…

Many clinics charge a set membership rate which is beneficial in helping you predict cost. Since the clinic must make ends meet they have to set this cost to cover the maximum dose and therefore those who require lower range doses stand to be massively overcharged.

It is for this reason that we offer a more equitable pricing structure that only requires payment for what your body needs. You pay each time you need a new bottle of medication rather than a set monthly fee.

  • The pro: you stand to save a lot of money.

  • The con: it is difficult in the beginning to predict your sweet spot and therefore your anticipated cost. Additionally, the financial burden is heaviest when purchasing the vial rather than spread out over months.

Here Are Some Examples

If you are starting on Semaglutide for the first time you could anticipate costs such as this:

If following this regimen the patient would pay for a new vial at month 3.5 and month 5. Depending on which sweet spot dose they need will then dictate costs going forward.

  • At lower doses the cost will average $112/month

  • At mid-range dose of 1mg the cost will average $220/month

  • At highest dose of 2.4mg the cost will average $360/month

  • Post goal weight maintenance cost will vary per patient but should range $50-75/month

If you are starting on Tirzepitide for the first time you could anticipate costs such as this:

If following this regimen the patient would pay for a new, larger vial at month 1.5 and near month 4. Costs going forward depend upon which sweet spot dose they need.

It bears noting that unlike Semaglutide, most patients do not require the maximum dose to achieve great results. Most people average out mid-range ~ 7.5-10mg per week.

  • At doses of 5mg or lower the cost will average $288/month

  • At mid range dose of 10mg the cost will average $594/month

  • At highest dose of 15mg the cost will average $950/month

  • Post goal weight maintenance cost will vary per patient but should range $90-$150/month

  • Semaglutide Pros:

    • About 1/2 the price of Tirzeptide.

    Semaglutide Cons:

    • For some this medication has limited or even null effect on weight loss over time. Some report a plateau they cannot cross even with maximum dose.

    • Tends to produce more undesirable side effects than Tirzeptide (reflux, heartburn, nausea, vomiting, bowel changes).

    Tirzepatide Pros:

    • In addition to acting as a GLP1 agonist, there is GIP agonism which means it works on two pathways to aid in weight loss. Most people find this more effective than Semaglutide.

    • Lower doses required to achieve optimal results.

    • Fewer side effects (heartburn, GI upset, bowel changes). If you suffer from reflux/GERD or take a daily PPI like Pepcid this medication is really the safest option for you.

    Tirzepatide Cons:

    • Cost is greater than Semaglutide
